2011′s Best Movie Musical
January 19th, 2012 by admin
There were a number of movies in 2011 that seemed to push the boundaries of soundtrack scores and it would seem that not only were some fantastic movie scores created but there were also a number of films where the music producers seemed to know just what type of mainstream songs and even classical music to use on their soundtracks to the great benefit of the films. While a movie like ?Drive? was a great soundtrack score even though much of the original music was accompanied by eighties style synthesizer music, the most recent ?Muppets? movie was filled with great pop songs for that particular genre of film.
A number of the songs on some of the soundtracks, which were filled with original compositions sung by famous bands for those films, were quite amazing and convinced a large segment of the population to buy out music from places like iTunes where soundtrack downloads have become quite popular. One of the most popular downloads and purchases has been that of ?A Real Hero,? which was a song in the movie ?Drive.
Another great song that people have remarked upon as being one of the best of the year was ?We Ride, Really!? which was composed by Hans Zimmer. Although the plot of the film itself was thought to be somewhat odd by those who saw the film, the music just happened to be one of the more successful parts of the film. One great song that has been out for a while already but has shown up in a film this year was ?Hold On,? which was sung by Wilson Philips and was a part of the movie ?Bridesmaids.?
