Raymond Yard Biography

Raymond Yard is an American Jeweler who first embarked on a lifetime of jewelry making at Marcus & Co. in 1898. Yard was a precocious lad of 13 when he started there, learning various aspects of the jewelry making industry and moving up the ranks. In 1922, with the help of John D. Rockefeller Jr, he left his top salesman position at Marcus & Co. to start his own New York shop on Fifth Avenue, today’s Raymond Yard Jewelers. Yard became a favored jeweler among famous actors, like Douglas Fairbanks and Joan Crawford, and New York’s rich elite including the DuPont, Woolworth and Vanderbilt families. In 1937, Yard met and “recruited” his caddy, 17-year-old Robert Gibson, to work in his company. His craftsman skill was instilled in his protégé over the course of 20 years and when Yard retired in 1958 he passed the reigns to Gibson, Donald Bartow and Glen McQuaker, who was also caddy that started working for Yard at age 17. Gibson’s son, Robert M Gibson, is currently running the company.

He is of English decent and was born on 13th May 1986. The Twilight movie sequels are set to come out soon and as is expected, he will maintain his roles. I am of the opinion that if they were to even think of replacing him, the movie would do dismally. In these movies, he will feature some of his music. The Twilight movie fans are anxiously waiting for the next releases as the previous ones have been a huge success, way bigger that the books even. It will be a joy to see what more trouble the vampires and wolves get themselves into this time and to find out what the pretty girl will eventually turn out to be. that is how it is.
